Step-by-Step Guide to Farming Coinshift Airdrop

1

Visit the Coinshift Website: Go to https://coinshift.global/ and sign in by connecting your wallet.

2

Buy and Hold csUSDL: Simply holding csUSDL is earning you points towards the airdrop passively.

3

Buy and Hold Partnering LP tokens (Optional): On the "Earn" page you will see a list of partnering platforms with various different ways to supply csUSDL as liquidity or other DeFi strategies. They have point boosts that can vary as time goes on. Pick a boosted strategy you like and hold those assets for boosted points.

4

Project Review

Problem Solved

Coinshift wants to be the treasury layer of Web3. It's not just another wallet or stablecoin project – it's aiming to be the onchain equivalent of a banking + yield system for DAOs and teams. Their core product, csUSDL, lets users earn real yield from a combination of U.S. Treasury Bills and on-chain lending without the need for staking, lockups, or KYC. Just hold the token, and the yield auto-accrues daily. On top of that, they offer csUSDC (a more efficient stablecoin for lending), plus tooling for accounting, payments, and multi-safe treasury control.

Tokenomics

While the csUSDL and csUSDC tokens are the main product, $SHIFT is the confirmed native token, but it is not yet launched. 5% is earmarked for airdrop participants, with allocation linked to XP earned via platform usage and referrals. The token will govern vault parameters, fee structures, and potentially revenue distribution. $SHIFT is designed with value capture in mind: protocol revenue (from USDL minting, vault lending) will be used to fund buybacks, burns, or incentive programs. Tokenomics are said to include conditional unlocks and long-term vesting. TGE is expected Q3 2025. Until then, usage = farming. For now, users earn speculative XP points – no guarantee yet on exact rewards.

Perspectives

Coinshift is well-positioned to become core DeFi infrastructure for onchain treasuries. Its focus on real yield, regulatory alignment, and passive UX makes it attractive to both DAOs and institutions. As stablecoin adoption grows and interest in RWAs rises, csUSDL could become a default yield-bearing asset. Integrations with Pendle, Morpho, and others show strong ecosystem fit. If SHIFT token governance is handled well, Coinshift could anchor the next wave of capital-efficient, compliant, and sustainable onchain finance.

Founders and Team

Tarun GuptaFounder & CEO

Founded by Tarun Gupta (ex-Gnosis Safe ecosystem dev), Coinshift's team is globally distributed, with a core focus on DeFi, compliance, and protocol design. They’re not flashy, but have shown consistent delivery. Notably, they’ve partnered with Paxos for regulated stablecoin integration, and Steakhouse Financial for risk management. No hype influencers here – just a team focused on building asset management infrastructure that works.

Lead Investors: Tiger Global

Notable Investors: Peak XV Partners, Spartan Group, Ethereal Ventures, Alpha Wave Capital, HashKey Capital, Polygon Ventures, Volt Capital, and 300+ angels

Coinshift raised $17.5 million in total funding, which gives them a solid runway to grow. Revenue comes from minting and vault performance fees. They’re already generating yield-based protocol revenue, which gives them more stability than most tokenless DeFi protocols.

The presence of Sequoia and Tiger as investors implies institutional discipline and likely pressures to hit scale, but so far, they’ve balanced hype and delivery well. Financially, they look stable through at least 2026.

Community

The Coinshift team cultivates a growing community. Their airdrop campaign has drawn in tens of thousands of XP farmers, with over 37,000 X followers and Discord engagement growing week by week. While a significant chunk of the user base is airdrop-motivated, the real value comes from sticky capital – over $130M in csUSDL TVL already, with big names like GSR and Amber providing liquidity. Users praise the clean UX and consistent communication. That said, the vibe is still early-stage, with a lot of interest being speculative.

Competitors

Coinshift is stepping into a growing space filled with DAO treasuries, real-world asset protocols, and yield-bearing stablecoins. Their edge is the combo of real-world T-bill exposure (via Paxos’ USDL) and DeFi lending (via Morpho) wrapped into one passive-yield token. Competitors like Ethena, Ondo, or MakerDAO either take more aggressive strategies or require active management. Gnosis Safe owns the custody layer, but lacks yield tools. Karpatkey focuses on tailored strategies, not products. Coinshift seeks to stand out with its permissionless, plug-and-play yield system that’s designed for both DAOs and individuals. Its risk: if major players like Circle or Coinbase offer similar yield with fewer steps, they could get sidelined.

Strengths:
Strong Partners: Paxos (RWA), Morpho (lending), Steakhouse (risk).
Real Product: Coinshift generates real yield from actual U.S. Treasury interest (~4%) plus on-chain lending, not just inflationary token emissions.
Heavyweight Backing: Coinshift is backed by top-tier investors (Tiger Global, Sequoia, Coinbase Ventures, Polygon founders, Balaji, etc.)
Risks:
Reliance on Paxos & USDL: Coinshift currently relies on Paxos managing T-bill reserves reliably. Any issue with USDL’s peg or Paxos’s business (legal trouble, reserve risk) would flow down to csUSDL.
Smart Contract Complexity: Coinshift’s vault is quite complex (wrapping a rebasing asset, feeding it into Morpho, etc.). While audited, new smart contract code can have bugs.
Competition & Yield Erosion: Competitors (or even traditional finance offerings) could reduce Coinshift’s edge.

Conclusion

Coinshift does something boring but valuable: turn idle stables into safe yield — with actual compliance, real revenue, and a protocol token designed to reflect that.

The UI is clean. The airdrop is real, and the risk/reward is favorable: deposit stablecoins, earn yield, and potentially get SHIFT in return. The biggest wildcard is regulation (especially for U.S. users), and the biggest alpha is being early to something that TradFi whales will probably use later.
